Women In Places'tan Türkçe, Kürtçe, İngilizce ve Fransızca 'Açlık Grevcilerini Duyun' Deklarasyonu

WOMEN IN PLACES’TAN TÜRK HAPİSHANELERİNDE ÜLKE KAPSAMINDA GERÇEKLEŞTİRİLEN AÇLIK GREVİNE İLİŞKİN BASIN AÇIKLAMASI

Bugün 1000’e yakın sayıda KCK hükümlü ve tutuklusu açlık grevi yapmaktadır.

12 Eylül’de Diyarbakır’daki iki cezaevinde başlayan eylemler, ülke çapında 65 cezaevine yayılmış olup kadın ve reşit olmayan hükümlülerden de destek görmüştür.

Eylemin 50. gününe ulaştığımız bugün ilk başlayanlar için sakatlık ve ölüm riski başlamıştır.

Eylemciler günde bir küp şeker, bir parmak tuz ve bir B vitamini almaktadır.

Eylemcilerin başlıca şartları; (1) Öcalan’ın sağlık, güvenlik ve özgürlük koşullarının yaratılması, (2) Anadilde savunma hakkı tanınması, (3) Anadilde eğitim hakkı tanınması.

Bazı gözlemciler “Öcalan’a uygulanan tecridin kalkmasının” ve “anadilde savunma hakkının tanınması”nın açlık grevlerinin son bulması için yeterli olacağını söylüyor.

Women in Places olarak açlık grevinin 50. gününe yaklaşıldığı bugünlerde, Türkiye Devleti’nin, grev yapanların taleplerini “Kabul edilemez” gerekçesiyle görmezden gelmesine tepki gösteriyoruz.

Aynı zamanda ana akım medyanın ve sivil toplum kuruluşlarının açlık grevlerine karşı ilgisizliği insan değerinin olmadığının bir göstergesidir.

Bugün bu topraklarda kurumlar, televizyonlar, gazeteler ve köşe yazarları korku içinde susmaktadır. Hükümetin ve ana muhalefet partilerinin bir bütün olarak ölüme bıraktığı hayatları görmezden gelmektedir.

Women in Places olarak, hükümetin mesele ile ilgili derhal adım atması için kamuoyunda baskı yaratılmalıdır diyoruz.

Medyanın ölü sessizliğini bozmasını ve yeterince insani olan bu taleplerin ölümlerle sonuçlanmaması için bir an önce harekete geçilmesini talep ediyoruz.

Women in Places olarak en başta, gücünü kamuoyundaki sessizlik ve tepkisizlikten alan devlet otoritesini ve devlet aklını reddediyor; bu yönde iktidarı onaylayan kamuoyunun sessizliğine tepki gösteriyoruz. Çözüme giden yolda, bugünü paylaşan ve eylem gücü olan her vicdanlı insanın yapabilecek bir şeyleri olduğuna inanıyoruz. Aksi takdirde, tarih bizleri yargılayacaktır.

PUBLIC STATEMENT FROM WOMEN IN PLACES REGARDING THE STATEWIDE HUNGER STRIKE IN TURKISH PRISONS

Nearly 1000 prisoners convicted or detained for allegedly belonging to the KCK are currently taking part in a hunger strike.

Starting in two prisons in Diyarbakir on September 12^th, numbers have since swelled to 65 prisons across the country, and now also include a number of women and underage detainees.

It is now 50 days and counting; the detainees taking part since the beginning are at risk of permanent disability and death.

Strikers consume a cube of sugar, a pinch of salt, and a B1 vitamin per day.

Their central demands; (1) The lifting of the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan, the guarantee of his health, security and freedom, (2) Kurdish language rights in education and in court, (3) and the lifting of assimilationist policies against Kurds.

Some observers say: The lifting of the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan and recognition of the mother tongue as a right for defense are enough to end the strike.

As we approach the 50th day of the hunger strike, we as Women in Places officially oppose the Turkish State’s willful ignorance of the demands of the strikers on the grounds that they are “unacceptable.”

Furthermore, we believe the indifference of mainstream media and civil society institutions to the hunger strike is an indication of a lack of value placed on human life.

Today, in this land, institutions, television, newspapers, and columnists keep silent out of fear. In doing so, they ignore the lives left to die by both the current government and main opposition parties.

We as Women in Places state that public pressure should be created in order to motivate the government to take immediate action.

We demand the media gives an end to its deadly silence and takes immediate action in order prevent these humanitarian demands from ending in death.

Before anything else, we reject the reason and authority of the state, which takes its power from the silence and unresponsiveness of the public opinion, and respond to the public silence that lends approval to the government. On the path to a solution, we believe that every single human being with a conscience, who share today and have the power to act, can and should. Otherwise history will judge us.

DÉCLARATION PUBLIQUE DE WOMEN IN PLACES AU SUJET DE LA GRÈVE DE LA FAIM DE LA FAIM DANS LES PRISONS TURQUES ÉCHELLE DE L’ÉTAT

Près de 1000 prisonniers condamnés ou en détention pour appartenance présumée à la KCK participent actuellement à une grève de la faim.

À partir de deux prisons de Diyarbakir le 12 Septembre, nombres a depuis enflé de 65 prisons à travers le pays, et maintenant aussi inclure un certain nombre de femmes et des détenus mineurs.

Il est maintenant 50 jours et de comptage, les détenus qui participent depuis le début sont à risque d’incapacité permanente et de décès.

Les grévistes consomment un morceau de sucre, une pincée de sel et une vitamine B1 par jour.

Leurs revendications centrales; (1) La levée de l’isolement d’Abdullah Öcalan, la garantie de sa santé, de sa sécurité et de sa liberté, (2) Les droits linguistiques kurdes dans l’éducation et dans la cour, et (3) et la levée des politiques d’assimilation contre les Kurdes.

Certains observateurs affirment: La levée de l’isolement d’Abdullah Öcalan et la reconnaissance de la langue maternelle comme un droit de la défense sont suffisants pour mettre fin à la grève.

Alors que nous approchons du 50ème jour de grève de la faim, nous, en tant que Women in Places, officiellement nous opposons à l’ignorance délibérée de l’Etat Turc des revendications des grévistes au motif qu’elles sont “inacceptables”.

En outre, nous croyons que l’indifférence des grands médias et les institutions de la société civile à la grève de la faim est une indication d’un manque de valeur accordée à la vie humaine.

Aujourd’hui, dans ce pays, les institutions, la télévision, les journaux, et les chroniqueurs gardent le silence par peur. Ce faisant, ils ignorent la vie laissés de mourir à la fois par le gouvernement actuel et principaux partis d’opposition.

Nous, en tant Women in Places, affirment que la pression du public devrait être créé afin d’inciter le gouvernement à prendre des mesures immédiates.

Nous demandons; le média donne un terme à son silence de mort et prend des mesures immédiates pour empêcher ces exigences humanitaires de mettre fin à la mort.

Avant toute chose, nous rejetons la raison et l’autorité de l’Etat, qui tire son pouvoir du silence et absence de réaction de l’opinion publique, et de répondre au silence du public qui donne l’approbation du gouvernement.

Sur la voie d’une solution, nous croyons que chaque humaine unique être avec une conscience, qui partage aujourd’hui et d’avoir le pouvoir d’agir, peut et doit. Sinon, l’histoire nous jugera.
